Jean was the only visual artist at the indie studio consisting of four devs, along with two engineers and one game designer/businessman. She was responsible for everything visual and audio; including but not limited to:
- Logo design/Branding of the project
- UI/UX design and assets
- Character and environment Concept Art
- Character 3D Art assets (Tool: Maya, Zbrush, 3D Coat)
- Making rigging, skinning, and transferring rigs for skins (Tool: Maya)
- Environment prop/building 3D assets (Tool: Maya, 3D Coat)
- Map design/building (tool: Unity engine)
- Illustration
- Icons/banners
- VFX (tool: Popcorn FX)
- Promotional image assets for marketing
- Creative director for the release trailer, working with an outsourced trailer studio
- Managing various outsource artists, ranging from concept, 3D artists, motion graphic artists, voice actors etc)
- Unit sound effect mixing and amateur character voice acting (Tool: Cubase, Reaper)
Splash Artist and Concept artist for League of Legends and part-time weapon skin exploration for Valorant while it was still under R&D.
As a splash artist, she was given character concept art or a character model screenshot then talked with the team leads to find the best fantasy of the character condensed into a single illustration.
As a concept artist, she was given a theme for a skin for LoL champions and came up with the character design direction, VFX exploration, splash art, providing feedback to the whole team disciplines, and sometimes leading the whole project team, making sure the theme is cohesive.
